On 26 November 2015, the Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH) celebrated 21 years of working to improve outcomes for children, families and communities. CCCH was established in 1994 by Founding Director Professor Frank Oberklaid, who continues to run the now 200+ person team.

The evening’s formalities included accolades from Professor Christine Kilpatrick, CEO of The Royal Children’s Hospital, and Professor Kathryn North, Director of the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, followed by the inspirational words of our special guest, The Honourable Quentin Bryce. Children’s choir, Young Voices of Melbourne, were the perfect accompaniment to the formalities, with their uplifting rendition of Sister My Sister, a strong arrangement of Waltzing Matilda incorporating Indigenous lyrics, and a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday to conclude the entertainment.
