Emergency helicopters play a key role in providing medical and trauma services to patients who are critically ill or who may be involved in serious accidents.
The Department of Health & Human Services is seeking to safeguard the flight paths to the heliports at The Royal Children’s, Alfred, Clayton, Frankston, Royal Melbourne and Warragul hospitals to maintain the integrity of this essential part of the health system.
A community consultation forum for The Royal Children’s Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital will take place on Thursday, October 29 between 4.30pm and 6.30pm in the Ella Latham Theatre in the RCH.
The theatre is accessible from the Ground Floor (Main Street) near Sandrock Café.
Further information on the project and how it relates to the Royal Children’s Hospital can be found on the department’s website.
