Telstra outage

There has been a widespread outage of the Telstra network this morning, affecting mobile and data connectivity and payment systems. 

Some systems at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) are currently impacted by the network outage. If you are visiting the hospital and are experiencing disruptions while on the Telstra network: 

  • Turn your phone off and on again. 
  • Agree to the Terms & Conditions 
  • Turn on WiFi Calling in your phone settings:  
  • iPhone: Settings > Apps > Phone > WiFi Calling > Turn on WiFi Calling on This iPhone. 
  • Android: Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet) > WiFi Calling > Turn on.

 We are working to ensure all teams across the hospital have alternative communication channels in place while the network is being restored.
