Paediatric Professional Development Program

$495The 21st Annual Professional Development Program for community paediatricians – Practical skills in developmental-behavioural paediatrics – will be held on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 October 2016 at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.
This year’s PDP focusses on early childhood, especially on preschool-age children, who are often referred to community paediatricians with developmental and behavioural concerns.
Over two days, you will hear from experts in the field of early childhood development, behaviour and mental health.
Approaches to assessment, diagnosis and early intervention will be discussed and you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with case-based discussions.
Friday 7 October: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Session 1 – Developmental trauma in pre-schoolers: the challenge of recognition and management
- Session 2 – Attachment, regulation and socialisation disorders in pre-schoolers: can we cope without an ASD label?
Saturday 8 October: 9:30am – 4:30pm
- Session 1 – Externalising problems in pre-schoolers: maturational delay vs. disorder
- Session 2 – Spirited, intense and exhausting: the role of temperament on sleep and elimination disorders
