Child Public Health program: Register now!

Extend your skills and knowledge with the Child Public Health professional development program.

The Child Public Health program offers you the opportunity to learn about the factors that influence children’s health, development, wellbeing and life course. With the skills you develop, you will be helped to respond effectively to child public health issues in your community, and work environment.

The program is coordinated by The Royal Children’s Hospital Centre for Community Child Health.

The Child Public Health program uses the ecological model as a framework to explore contemporary child health issues, including:

  • the impact of poverty and disadvantage
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues
  • cross-cultural issues
  • nutrition
  • mental health
  • integrated service delivery
  • education and care environments
  • child-focused policy development.

It is available as professional development or through the University of Melbourne’s Master of Public Health.

If you have an interest in children’s health and wellbeing, public health, community and child health and community paediatrics, this course is a must.
