Congratulations to Associate Professor Jill Sewell and Associate Professor Gehan Roberts for being awarded life membership of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australia (NBPSA).
The NBPSA awards Life Membership to select members in “recognition of distinguished service to society and to neurodevelopmental and behavioural paediatrics generally.”
Associate Professor Jill Sewell and Associate Professor Prof Gehan Roberts were presented with their Life Membership alongside other members at the NBPSA Annual Conference 2022.
Assoc. Prof Sewell is a consultant paediatrician at the Centre for Community Child Health, and Chair of the Quality and Safety Executive Council for Safer Care Victoria. Jill was previously the Centre’s Deputy Director and recently completed a 5-year term as Clinical Director of the Children’s Bioethics Centre. Jill has been responsible for the Centre’s developmental and behavioural specialty clinics, including overseeing the practicing consultant paediatricians and advanced trainees in paediatrics, and developed the Victorian Training Program in Community Child Health over many years.
Assoc. Prof Roberts is a developmental-behavioural paediatrician and holds appointments with The Royal Children’s Hospital, Centre for Community Child Health, the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, and theUniversity of Melbourne. Gehan coordinates the Victorian Training Program in Community Child Health, the largest training program of its type in Australia. Gehan is an Associate Director (Clinical Services) at the Centre, and is engaged in research, clinical supervision and teaching at both an undergraduate and post-graduate level. Gehan is also the immediate past president of NBPSA (2016-2020).
