A new report has revealed insights into how a place-based approach to service and system reform can be used to make a difference to children’s outcomes.
In November 2012 the Royal Children’s Hospital Centre for Community Child Health hosted a Round Table with leaders with an interest in the early years, and expertise spanning health, education, research and policy. The Round Table aimed to build a shared understanding of place or location as a platform for supporting children and families.
The subsequent Place-based Initiatives Transforming Communities: Proceedings from the Place-based Approaches Round Table report shares the provocative presentations and influential discussions, and identifies key themes to help shape change.
