CCCH involved in an Australian trial of sustained nurse home visiting

Underpinned by the best national and international evidence, right@home is a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of a sustained nurse home visiting (SNHV) program in Australia.

right@home aims to find out how the universal maternal and child health nursing service might be improved to better meet the needs of all families. One way to do this is to offer more nurse visits in people’s homes for families who might benefit from this type of approach.

The study aims to find out if offering these extra visits, that would be available until babies turn 2 years old, make it easier for parents to learn about things like feeding, parenting and managing their baby’s sleep.

right@home is a research collaboration between the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY), the Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH), and the Centre for Health Equity Training Research and Evaluation (CHETRE).
