Works to improve lighting in the hospital car park are due to get underway this week.

In order to complete this work, sections of the car park will be closed outside peak times on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout March and April.

This may mean that some areas of parking and pathways of travel will be diverted or completely closed for access. If this occurs, pathways of travel will be marked with signage to ensure clear flow of traffic for families.

The first phase of works will begin on Friday, March 3 at 8am and will be completed by 2.30pm. The exit ramp from B2 to B1 will be closed and traffic from B2 will be directed to exit via 48 Flemington Road. Signage will be in place to direct families.

On Saturday, March 4, access to the B2 down ramp and surrounding area will be restricted between 8am and 2.30pm. Traffic will be redirected to park on B1 while the ramp is closed.

These works are being carried out to ensure clear visibility and will also contribute to the RCH’s ongoing sustainability work.
