Don’t miss the AAAH Youth Health Conference

confernce2Young Australians aged 15 and over are being invited to participate in the 2015 National Health Youth Conference which takes place in Melbourne this month.

Organised by the Australian Association for Adolescent Health (AAAH), and with involvement from staff at the RCH’s Centre for Adolescent Health, Transition Support Services, and the Chronic Illness Peer Support (ChIPS) program, the three-day conference features a special one-day youth forum aimed at young people aged 15-25.

The Youth Health Forum is an opportunity for young people to hear about the experiences of other young people, explore what it means to be a young person in 2015 and share their thoughts about what communities can do to support young people. Those aged 15-25 who are interested in health, wellbeing and education are invited to participate in the free event.

The Youth Health Forum will take place on Wednesday, November 11 and will include a talk from 2014 UN Youth Ambassador Laura John, workshops on a range of issues including gender and equality and managing stress, and a live performance by Melbourne-based Rock Chicks Stonefield.
