Synopsis:The Melbourne Children’s Campus consists of four distinct but linked entities: Royal Children’s Hospital, Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, University of Melbourne RCH Academic Centre, and the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. Collectively, the overall objective of the campus partners is to improve the health and wellbeing of children:- locally, nationally and globally. The campus council was formed to ensure that the actual outcomes for the total campus are greater than the sum of the outcomes of the individual partners.
This presentation, by the leaders of the campus partners will present why the campus structure must value add to each of our organisations, and why the integration of clinical care, research, education, and community engagement are paramount to our collective goals. The presentation will discuss the strategic plan of the campus council, as well as some of the current and proposed campus collaborative initiatives. Finally we will consider how we can truly benchmark against the best children’s hospital campuses in the world. This is a chance for all campus staff to share in the vision for the campus, so come along and contribute to the discussion.
