The Centre for Adolescent Healthis playing a key role in contributing new content on adolescent health and development for the Raising Children Network, an Australian government funded evidence-based parenting website.

When it started 5 years ago, the website focused on parenting infants and children up to 8 years old. In response to many requests from parents, the new website now extends to 15 years, and in time is expected to extend to older adolescence. A large number of staff at the Centre for Adolescent Health have helped to develop the new material that aims to support parents of adolescents.

With over 19 million hits since its inception, this web resource is a highly trusted and credible resource for Australian families. The RCN website is run by a consortium of the Centre for Community Child Health at the Royal Children’s Hospital (MCRI) and the Parenting Research Centre.

The new adolescent content was launched at the State Library of Victoria by Minister Jenny Macklin, Federal Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.
