Build your expertise in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing – graduate study midyear intake, now open!

Our course convenor, Ani, and masters coordinator, Kristina, recently held an online information session about our courses for the 2025 midyear intake. We had an amazing level of interest and registrations from 29 countries. Did you know our course is open to students from all over the globe, as the course is delivered fully online?

Two of our student alumni, Dr Betty Bankah and Ms Brianna McCoola joined us and gave great insights about their studies with us, and what it has meant for their practice and their careers. There is a recording of this session available here. It is always fascinating to hear from our students, past and current, about why they choose to work with young people and how their studies assist them in their work. If you have been thinking about studying with us, I highly recommend watching the session to hear from Betty and Brianna directly.

The Centre for Adolescent Health has offered post-graduate study in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing since 1995. The Centre’s professional affiliations with the Royal Children’s Hospital, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and The University of Melbourne guarantee best practice in working with young people, research excellence and a passion for teaching.

Study anywhere in the world, while you work.  We offer online study in the following nested courses:

These courses offer practitioners from across health, education and community sectors the opportunity to engage with a multi-disciplinary and multi-professional approach to adolescent health. Students bring a range of perspectives informed by their experiences in different sectors, building collegiality and social capacity between sectors.

While society’s responses to the challenges facing communities and young people are often characterised by sectors (eg health, education, housing, justice, etc) or health problems (eg mental health, drug and alcohol, sexual health), these courses aim to work across the silos,, allowing interventions in one area, such as health or policing, to be informed by expertise from other fields, such as teaching or social work.

Mid-year intake is now open, with applications due by 30th June 2025. Apply here.
