If you want to join the campaign to call for more investment in adolescent health and wellbeing, consider the Global Forum for Adolescents. The Global Forum for Adolescents aims to unite people through the largest–ever gathering for adolescent wellbeing and is part of the 1point8 global campaign to mobilize political and financial commitments for adolescents globally.
The Global Forum for Adolescent Wellbeing framework focuses on five key domains: agency & resilience, community & connectedness, education &employment, safety & support, and good health & nutrition. Learn more about each of these domains here.
Get involved!
On October 11-12, 2023, the Global Forum for Adolescents will convene virtually for two days. This is a unique opportunity for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), including youth-led ones, Donors and Foundations, Inter-Governmental Organizations (IGOs), Universities, Research centres, and Government Agencies to work together to put the needs of adolescents and young people at the forefront of global policy discussions.
Currently, there are 5 ways you can contribute to the effort:
- What Young People Want: Share what you want and support mobilizing for the “What Young People Want Campaign” to reach 1 million young people and help build local dashboards flagging young people’s priorities
- National Events: Organize a co-branded activity in advance of the Global Forum to put the needs of young people on the map locally or to collectively watch sessions of the Forum (register & checklist)
- Art for Wellbeing Competition: Participate in the Art for Wellbeing Competition (10-24 years) answering the question “What does Wellbeing mean to you” and win up to USD 1000 (deadline 29 July)
- Register for updates: If you are interested to learn more and stay involved sign up here
- Social media: You can use our toolkits to spread the word on social media
More details about the ways to engage can be found in the Partner Engagement Kit.

Young people demand skills and learning for future employment, responding to a fragile world of high living costs, pandemic disruptions, climate crisis and rising conflicts
On International Youth Day 2023, the world’s largest survey of young people reports that 40% of more than 700,000 respondents identify education, skills and employment as pathways to future security. The project collects the voices of 1 million+ young people, informing a global “Agenda for Action for Adolescents”, launching at a global forum for adolescents in October 2023.
“What Young People Want”, a massive survey project undertaken by PMNCH – a global alliance for the health and well-being of women, children and adolescents, hosted by the World Health Organization – today reports interim results through a public dashboard launched on the eve of UN International Youth Day 2023 on 12 August.
