During the recent October school holidays thirty nine ChIPS members, two ChIPS staff and a healthcare and volunteer team of twelve headed down to Camp Manyung, near Mount Eliza.
The weather was perfect over the three days and allowed for a wide range of outdoor activities, including the Giant Swing, Tree Climb and Crate Cimb. It was fantastic to see ‘ChiPPERS’ challenging their comfort zones and being supported by their peers to do this.
Highlights of camp included the creation of a flash mob, a performance by the ChIPS Tunes band and the ‘C’ costume party – where there was a lot of creativity both in costumes and dance moves! We were fortunate once again to have the New Balance team attend camp to fit our members with new shoes take to home from camp.
It was fantastic to see a contingent of new ChIPPERS come along and experience their first camp. Many friendships were created and memorable moments had by all. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
