The Centre for Adolescent Health welcomes Dr Susan Paudel

The Centre for Adolescent Health is thrilled to welcome our first George Patton Fellow – Dr Susan Paudel.

Susan is a behavioural epidemiologist with expertise in physical activity, evidence synthesis, and mixed-methods research across diverse groups, including children, adolescents, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. She completed her

PhD in Epidemiology at Monash University in 2021, examining physical activity and chronic diseases among Nepalese adults.

Through this fellowship, Susan will investigate the role of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in adolescents’ health and wellbeing, with a focus on supporting culturally and linguistically diverse adolescents to adopt and maintain healthy behaviours.

The George C. Patton Fellowship in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing honours and extends the legacy of Professor George C. Patton AO MBBS MD FRANZCP FRCPsych.

This Fellowship reflects the shared commitment of three partner organisations: The Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth), The University of Melbourne and The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Centre for Adolescent Health.
