2023 MCRI Population Health Theme Funding

Congratulations to following CAH staff who were successful in receiving the 2023 Murdoch Children’s Research Institute ‘Population Health’ Theme Funding for their projects.  

Dr. Nandita Vijayakumar has received funding for the Child to Adult Transition Study (CATS). This funding will be utilised to enhance the retention rates and participate engagement within the study.  

Congratulations to Dr. Jessica Kerr for receiving funding to harness LifeCourse cohort data to inform policy-relevant obesity forecasts to 2050 for children and adolescents: Establishing a strategic partnership with the Global Burden of Disease study. 

Congratulations to Lindsay Pearce, Dr. Jessica Heerde, Professor’s Stuart Kinner and Susan Sawyer, Dr. Rohan Borschmann and Dr. Lucas Calais Ferreira who received funding for their project looking at children and adolescents at the interface of homelessness and criminal justice system involvement: Service provider perspectives on prevention and support. 

Congratulations to PhD candidate, Jackson Newberry-Dupe who received a travel scholarship.
