As part of this year’s Infant Mental Health Awareness Week, we are highlighting the important new work emerging from the 2000 Stories Study and the Australian Temperament Project – Generation 3 Study. Lead author, Elizabeth Spry’s recent paper, Maternal mental health and infant emotional reactivity: a 20-year two-cohort study of preconception and perinatal exposures examines whether a mother’s mental health before, during and after pregnancy predicts early emotional sensitivity in their infant.
