Young People’s Health Service launch "Voices from the Street"

The staff of the Young People’s Health Service, from the RCH, Centre for Health were with Professor Brian Burdekin at the Melbourne Town Hall on the 9 of March 2007. YPHS was in attendance for the launch of the February edition (Young Homeless People and their future). YPHS also launched their Public Safety DVD “Voices from the Street”. Professor Brian Burdekin was present at the launch, having given a very engaging speech about the current state of Youth Homelessness in Australia earlier in the day.

Professor Burdekin is best known for his work on the 1989 National Inquiry into Youth Homelessness, “The Burdekin Report”. As a direct result of this report, the Young People’s Health Service was formed.
