Noel Cass(1927 2017)
The Members of the RCH Medical Alumni are sad to record the death of Dr Noel Cass, who was our President from 2009-2011. Noel was an outstanding contributor to Australian anaesthesia. He was a greatly respected and inspirational teacher, researcher and author, and played a major role in the advancement of medical indemnity insurance and the preservation of medical history. In addition, he was the mainstay behind the RCH ski club for many years and was also an accomplished jazz pianist, who continued to play with his band even after he became completely blind. He was a beautiful human being and was much loved.
