Gala Dinner 2019

Once again the dinner was held at Kew Golf Club, following the AGM of the Medical Alumni Association, on Tuesday November 12th. There were 66 members and partners present and four guests, who were welcomed by the President of The Alumni, Ms Ruth Wraith OAM.

An excellent dinner was followed by a stimulating presentation by Prof Kathryn North AC MD FRACP, David Danks Professor of Child Health Research and Director of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, who was introduced by Dr Kevin Collins.

Her title was:

“The Brave New World of Precision Medicine”

and she focussed on developments in Genetics and the

expanding field of Genomics and its potential for a huge impact on the management of genetic disorders. After her talk she was thanked by the Vice President, Prof James Wilkinson AM, who also recorded thanks to the team who had organised the function, including the staff of Kew Golf Club and the Functions Manager, Alisha Ayres.

We enjoyed another highly congenial evening and an excellent dinner.
