Hayden 1A disease like stroke doesn’t discriminate – it can affect people of all ages, including newborn babies and children.

The Stroke Foundation is launching Brain Injury Awareness Week nationally, and in doing so are hosting an interactive discussion shining a light on stroke in young people. The discussion follows RCH Neurologist Dr Mark MacKay recently winning a national stroke award for his outstanding dedication and commitment to young stroke patients.

A panel of young survivors, carers and industry experts will look at why stroke happens, the impacts on young people and what can be done to stop this devastating disease.

Families who have been affected by stroke are encouraged to attend. Details are as follows.
