The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Pharmacy is celebrating the release of the fifth edition of its Paediatric Injectable Guidelines.

Compiled and edited by experienced paediatric pharmacists, the guidelines help in the safe and effective administration of injectable medicines in children.

Leith Lilley, RCH Pharmacy Business and Development Manager, said the guidelines were something that every hospital that cares for children can benefit from using.

“We’ve completely reviewed and updated the guidelines to include 26 new drug monographs, and we’ve also given it a fresh new cover, updated look and new glossary for easier use.”

The guidelines feature more than 280 drug monographs, including 26 new entries, and are available in both print and electronic formats. See www.rch.org.au/pig for more information or to order your copy.
