Jed Harris has every right to look triumphant.

His chest has twice been opened by surgeons to repair a hole in his heart and reconnect its blood supply to the lungs.

Less than a month after his second open heart surgery, Jed was diagnosed with cancer – all before his first birthday.

Now aged 15 months, the Ballarat toddler is in remission and is celebrating the removal of the nasal gastric tube – which he had since he was five weeks old.
