The League of Former Trainees and Associates (LOFT) is an association for former Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) nursing trainees, which was founded in 1921 and has expanded to include any nurse who has worked, or is currently working, at the RCH.
LOFT aims to maintain and develop a close relationship between members of the association and the hospital as well as exploring ways to assist with nursing research and education, which is achieved through supporting an annual scholarship for nursing research and holding an annual luncheon for members.
Each year members enjoy the chance to catch up while enjoying lunch and hearing about nursing practice from an invited speaker.
This year it will be held on Saturday 17th May at the RACV Club in Melbourne.
LOFT would love to hear from any nurses who trained, worked or are working at the RCH to either join the association ($15 annual membership) or to contribute their stories and photos of the RCH on the LOFT website, which will be launched shortly.

I’m interested in connecting with LOFT. My intake at ‘The Kid’s’ was 1/80.
I’m still nursing but not at RCH. I’m pretty sure that at least 2 nurses from my intake are still employed at RCH. 🙂
