Paralysed boy recovers

A 9-year-old Geelong boy has made a remarkable recovery after being paralysed.

Nicholas Walpole contracted a rare illness which forced his body to stop functioning. His own immune system began attacking his brain rendering him unable to walk or talk.

Doctors at The Royal Children’s boosted his immune system which has helped him make a great recovery. Nicholas plans to spend more time with his family and playing sports.
