The RCH scores a hat trick at the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) enjoyed great success at the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards on Wednesday night.

This year, the RCH was shortlisted for four awards, winning three in total and receiving a Highly Commended for the fourth.

Excellence in healthcare outcomes through person centred care
Winner: The RCH – Power to parents: taking child warfarin therapy monitoring home (RCH Anticoagulation Service).  Read more

Excellence in enhanced quality healthcare through e-health and communications
Winner: The RCH – Early diagnosis for developmental dysplasia of the hip (RCH Orthopaedics).  Read more

Outstanding achievement by an individual or a team in mental healthcare
Winner: The RCH Eating Disorder Program (RCH Centre for Adolescent Health and RCH Mental Health).  Read more

Minister for Health’s Award for developing a capable and engaged workforce
Highly Commended: Victorian Paediatric Orthopaedic Network (RCH Orthopaedics)

RCH CEO Professor Christine Kilpatrick said everyone should be proud of the hospital’s achievement.

“This is an outstanding recognition of the innovation and excellence here at the hospital.  Congratulations to all staff involved,” she said.
