Our recently launched My RCH Portal allows you to connect with information in your RCH medical record, when and where it suits you.
The portal is a website and app that allows parents and legal guardians to access key elements of their child’s electronic medical record (EMR).
Two-year-old Benjamin is one of the RCH’s Complex Care patients, which
means he has many teams and specialists involved in his care. For Benjamin’s family, My RCH Portal has been an anticipated, and very welcome tool which they use at least once a week.
“It’s a one-stop shop to manage your appointments and see test results from doctors,” Benjamin’s mum Tracy said.
“It has made things a lot easier because I can look at results as soon as they are loaded on the portal and without having to contact a doctor.”
She said she would “definitely recommend” other families take advantage and sign up to the portal.
“Benny sees many different specialists, so to be able to find everything all in the one place has made things easier. I also don’t have to carry around a heap of paperwork with me anymore!”
My RCH Portal was developed as part of the RCH’s $48 million Electronic Medical Record, which successfully went live in April. The project was funded by the Victorian Government, the RCH, and the RCH Foundation, including donations through the Good Friday Appeal. You can support innovative projects like this one through the RCH Foundation at www.rchfoundation.org.au.
