Sophie, who is a project coordinator at the Centre for Adolescent Health, works across two projects; 2000 Stories: The Victorian Adolescent Health Cohort Study, and CATS: The Childhood to Adolescence Transition Study.
She was the first woman across the line in her event, with a time of 54 minutes and 57 seconds. Sophie is also a member of the Melbourne University Athletics Club.
More than 32,000 runners competed in the 5.5km and 15km courses across the city on Sunday, which has raised $1.8 million for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Duer Yoa took out the gold in the men’s 15km race.
