Asylum seekers and their children matter

The second seminar in the series “Child health, children’s rights and the law”, which is jointly hosted by Children’s Rights International and the RCH Alumni,  took place at the Melbourne University Law School at 6PM on June 19th.

The meeting was well attended by Alumni and lawyers and proved to be a powerful and emotive review of the sad situation faced by people seeking Asylum in Australia and the tragic consequences for children, many of whom spent years in detention with little hope of a permanent solution for them and their families.
