AGM and President’s Report 2021
AGM 9 November 2021
The AGM of the Alumni Association was held via Zoom on 9th November at 6.30 pm.
The meeting was chaired by Ms Ruth Wraith OAM, the President.
There were 29 members present and apologies were received from 10 members.
The President’s report for the year was presented by Ruth Wraith.
The financial report was presented by the Treasurer, Prof James (Jim) Wilkinson AM.
Both reports were accepted, having been moved and seconded.
Election of office bearers followed with a single candidate having been proposed and seconded for each of the four positions – President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Prof James (Jim) Wilkinson AM was elected as the President for 2022. Dr Garry Warne AM was elected as Vice President, Dr Caroline Clarke was elected as Honorary Secretary and Prof George Werther AO was elected as Treasurer.
The meeting closed at 6.58 PM and was followed by a talk given by Prof Sharon Goldfeld, Director of the Centre for Community Child Health at RCH and Theme Director Population Health and Co-group leader of Policy and Equity at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute with the title “Radical Pragmatism – can we address the inequities in child health and development in a generation?”. There was a discussion that followed, and the talk was greeted with applause from the audience and the meeting finishing at 8.00 pm.
