The Alumni Executive were saddened by the news today of the death of our much loved colleague and friend Professor Andrew Kemp at the age of 77, as a result of Parkinson’s disease. Andrew served as President of the Alumni from 2014-1015.
Andrew was held in high esteem for his intellect, humour and kindness. With his extraordinary clinical acumen and unique teaching style, he taught generations of paediatricians not what to think, but how to think.
For reasons related to the current pandemic, the funeral will be restricted to a very small number, but the main celebration of his life and of how we valued him so greatly will be held when it becomes possible. Andrew leaves his wife Sally and children Celia, Charles and Alice, to whom we send our deepest condolences.
