Paul Mercurio gears up for a big gig for our littlest patients

Dancing with the Stars’ resident judge Paul Mercurio visited the RCH neonatal unit today to meet families and staff and some of our sickest infants.

Paul is gearing up for his role as Master of Ceremonies at the ‘Celebration of Life’ Gala Ball on 6th September.

He met some amazing little fighters on his walk through the unit.  There’s Samuel who was born with a diaphragmatic hernia and has been at the RCH for 13 weeks; and tiny little Madeleine is 6 weeks old and began breathing on her own only last week.

Kate Ceberano will also perform at the ball which is Celebration of Life’s major fundraiser for the NNU.

There’ll be a number of the highly sought after items for auction including a NZ holiday, a Top Gun Fighter Jet experience and, for AFL fans, a framed Essendon Football Club jumper personally signed by retiring legends James Hird and Kevin Sheedy.

To book a table call Donna Aranyi on 9345 4510.
