The move of patients to the new Royal Children’s Hospital is now ahead of schedule and on track to have all patients moved to the new site by early afternoon.
In what will be a historic occasion for Victoria, the new Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) will be accepting patients for the first time tomorrow.
On Wednesday 30 November, patients and families make the move next door to our wonderful new Royal Children’s Hospital. From 8am, the hospital is open for emergency medical care, and inpatients and their immediate family only.
On Wednesday 30 November, visit the hospital only if you require emergency medical care, are an immediately family member of an inpatient or for pathology. The hospital will not be open for any other services.
