ThingleToodle and Professor Eric (a) Speriment visited patients and families today at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) as part of Community Safety Month in Victoria.
ThingleToodle and the Professor visited RCH patients on the ward before performing for patients and RCH crèche children in the Starlight Room.
Funded by VicRoads, Starting Out Safely ThingleToodle education sessions are about children, parents, carers and early childhood educators working together to guide children’s learning, helping them to become safe and independent road users.
RCH Safety Centre Senior Project Coordinator, Barbara Minuzzo, said the education session was a great way to deliver vital road safety messages to children and parents in a creative and memorable way. “Road safety education helps prepare children and young people to become safer road and transport users, and it’s great to see the children learn in a supportive and fun environment”, said Barbara.
Community Safety Month is a state wide initiative, providing Victorians with a chance to take part in activities and events and learn how to make local communities safer places to live and work.
