Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination – Guidance for RCH Contractors

At the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) we recognise the important role that vaccination plays in keeping us all safe from COVID-19 and enabling our roadmap to recovery from the pandemic.

In line with the Victorian Chief Health Officer’s Directions, we have implemented measures to ensure that everyone who works at the RCH meets the mandatory vaccination requirements for healthcare workers. This includes all our employees, contractors, sub-contractors and volunteers.

From midnight on 14 October those workers who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with mandatory vaccination requirements will be unable to work at the RCH. Requiring vaccination is an essential step to increase the protection of our staff, patients, families and broader community as we manage the risk of COVID-19 transmission and continue to provide great care.

If you are an RCH contractor please see Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination-Guidance for RCH Contractors for details of how to provide evidence of your vaccination status to us. If you have any questions you can email us at Contractor.covidvax@rch.org.au or speak to your designated RCH contact.
