A special bond between father and daughter

Snuggling into daddy’s shoulder is as close as Ervanur Cekinmez can get to escaping the realities of the oncology ward.

This father-daughter bond has grown stronger in the eight months since his 19-month-old was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

It is the most common type of cancer treated at The Royal Children’s Hospital but, for this family of five, Ervanur’s diagnosis has been an unexpected heartbreak.
