Watching Darcy Templar race around the playground with his friends gives no indication of the health problems that required two life-saving heart operations.
Darcy’s life was saved at just two weeks of age by surgery to his aortic valve at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
“Without the expertise of the doctors and staff at the RCH, Darcy would not have lived for longer than a month,” his mother, Jodi Templar, said.
Last year, Darcy returned to hospital for a second operation to repair his heart.
Now Mrs Templar is urging Tasmanians to support the children’s hospital by donating to its Good Friday appeal.
