Synopsis:

COVID-19 is almost always a mild disease in children. Adults are much more likely to become very unwell or die than children.  Why is this so?

Can immunology explain the differences in COVID-19 disease severity between children and adults?

What do we know about the immunological responses to SARS-CoV-2 and why it is so important to understand this in the context of vaccine development?

We’ve heard about serological tests and “immunity passports” but are the current serological tests any good?

To address these questions, we will hear from 3 of our scientists.
