\"\"<\/a>The RCH joined over a million readers in over 8,000 locations including hospitals, schools and libraries across Australia for the 18th\u00a0National Simultaneous Storytime.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

National Simultaneous Storytime<\/a> is an annual event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy and encourage more young Australians to read and enjoy books.<\/p>\n

On the day, people of all ages are invited to join in by sharing the same story \u2013\u00a0Hickory Dickory Dash, <\/em>written by Tony Wilson and illustrated by Laura Wood \u00a0\u2013 at the same time.<\/p>\n

The official reading by Tony Wilson was held on\u00a0Wednesday May 23\u00a0at\u00a011am\u00a0in\u00a0Ella Latham Auditorium at the RCH.<\/p>\n

The event was broadcast live to bedsides at the RCH\u00a0via RCH TV and across the country via Starlight TV and patient entertainment systems.<\/p>\n

A copy of\u00a0Hickory Dickory Dash <\/em>was provided and distributed to every inpatient at the RCH on the day by the Book Bunker volunteer team.<\/p>\n
