Photo courtesy of RCH Archives Department.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The League of Former Trainees and Associates (LOFT) is an\u00a0association for former Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital (RCH) nursing trainees, which was founded in 1921 and has expanded to include any nurse who has worked, or is currently working, at the RCH.<\/p>\n<p>LOFT aims to maintain and develop a close relationship between members of the association and the hospital as well as exploring ways to assist with nursing research and education, which is achieved through supporting\u00a0an annual scholarship for nursing research and holding an annual luncheon for members.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3839\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3839\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/news\/files\/2014\/01\/LOFT-image-2.jpeg.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-3839\" alt=\"Opening of the Nurses Home 1958.
