{"id":366,"date":"2009-12-05T23:49:28","date_gmt":"2009-12-05T12:49:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/inthenews\/?p=366"},"modified":"2015-04-29T14:08:58","modified_gmt":"2015-04-29T04:08:58","slug":"the-wiggles-pop-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/news\/the-wiggles-pop-in\/","title":{"rendered":"The Wiggles pop in"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-367\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.rch.org.au\/news\/files\/2011\/10\/wiggles_group_250px1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"148\" \/>The Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital received an injection of colour this morning when the Wiggles surprised patients with a special visit.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Wiggle Anthony, Red Wiggle Murray, Purple Wiggle Jeff and Yellow Wiggle Sam staged a mini concert in the Starlight Room, playing everyone&#8217;s favourite hits.\u00a0 Babies through to adolescents (and mum and dad too) danced along to <em>Hot Potato<\/em> and <em>Big Red Car<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The children took delight in waking up Jeff a number of times.\u00a0 Wags the Dog and Dorothy the Dinosaur also made special appearances.<\/p>\n<p>After the concert, the Wiggles visited patients who were unable to leave their beds, including twins Krishna and Trishna.<\/p>\n<p>Initially overwhelmed at meeting their idols &#8211; they watch the Wiggles regularly on their DVD players &#8211; the twins&#8217; tears soon made way for smiles and laughter.\u00a0 Trishna was particularly fond of Dorothy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Right: The Wiggles filled Krishna and Trishna&#8217;s room with music and colour.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital received an injection of colour this morning when the Wiggles surprised patients with a special visit.
