Photo courtesy of the Herald Sun.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Six-year-old Chelsea Aquilina has amazed doctors, learning to walk and talk again after sustaining severe head injuries when she was hit by a ute late last year.<\/p>\n<p>After several surgeries and months of rehabilitation Chelsea is expected to be able to go home soon.<\/p>\n<p>RCH rehabilitation unit clinical services head Dr Kevin Dunne said: &#8220;She&#8217;s had a very severe injury, one of the most severe we&#8217;ve had to deal with, and she&#8217;s making very good progress.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While good medical care and the love and support of her family had gone some way, Chelsea&#8217;s desire to &#8220;get going&#8221; had got her through, Dr Dunne said.<\/p>\n<p>Mum Susie Aquilina said: &#8220;It&#8217;s her fighting spirit, she&#8217;s always had it, she&#8217;s just got that spunk about her. Most of the time she&#8217;s happy-go-lucky &#8230; and she&#8217;s stayed positive and happy throughout it all.
