We are excited to welcome Professor Christine Imms as our new Apex Chair in Neurodevelopment and Disability.
Recently The University of Melbourne made this announcement:
“Welcome to Professor Christine Imms (BAppSc (OT), MSc(RS), PhD, Fellow Occupational Therapy Australia Research Academy) as our new Apex Chair in Neurodevelopment and Disability, in the Department of Paediatrics, commencing on April 22nd. Christine comes to us from the Australian Catholic University (ACU), where she is Professor of Occupational Therapy and Co-Director of the Centre for Disability and Development Research: Diversity across the Lifespan (CeDDR).
Christine’s research is focused on investigating and optimising the participation of children and young people with disabilities. The Apex Chair is a joint initiative of the Department of Paediatrics, the Apex Australia Foundation for Research into Intellectual Disability (AFRID) and the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.”
The Neurodevelopment and Disability clinical and research teams are thrilled to have Christine join us and together we look forward to improving the lives of children and their families living with disability.
