During this very challenging time of Coronavirus there are times when people are finding things difficult and are feeling worry about things that they have never experienced before. Parents are also experiencing an increase in worry about things that they might already have felt anxiety about, such as their child getting sick and having to go to hospital.
The Neurodevelopment and Disability parent wellbeing team are developing a series of brief webinars that will take you through a strategy called FACE COVID, a set of practical steps for responding effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic.
FACE COVID uses principals of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has been developed by Russ Harris who is an expert in this field.
This webinar will take you through the first part of this strategy (FACE). While this webinar is aimed at parents who have a child with a disability we know that it will also be useful to many members of the community who may also be experiencing worry and anxiety.
