Researcher Receives Prestigious Award

Congratulations to Dr Adrienne Harvey, PhD, Research Physiotherapist and a member of the Developmental Medicine team, who received the Melbourne Childrens Campus Career Development Award.

This prestigious award provides funding for 3 years to support Adrienne’s research: Dyskinesia in children with cerebral palsy with a focus on assessment, classification and medication management.

Adrienne completed her PhD in 2008 on the Functional Mobility Scale for children with cerebral palsy, a tool that is now widely used nationally and internationally. Following this she completed a 2 year postdoctoral fellowship in Canada at CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research.

This award recognises Adrienne’s strong clinical research background in outcome measurement and examining the effectiveness of interventions for children with cerebral palsy.
