With the advent of advanced genomics and epigenomics and an explosion in our understanding of disease, we are finally seeing improvements. Dr Hansford will discuss the advances in modern Paediatric Neuro-Oncology and highlight the\u00a0opportunities, problems and challenges as we push for better cure rates and quality of survivorship into the future for children with brain tumours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaker<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Jordan R. Hansford<\/strong>, BScH MSc MBBS FRACP, is the head of the Neuro-Oncology and Cancer Research groups of the Children\u2019s Cancer Centre at\u00a0The Royal Children\u2019s Hospital. He is\u00a0cross appointed as an\u00a0Honorary Fellow at the MCRI, Honorary Senior and Adjunct Senior Research Fellow\u00a0at the University of Melbourne and Monash University. He also serves as\u00a0Principal Investigator for\u00a0the Children\u2019s\u00a0Oncology Group and Vice-Chair of the Australia-New Zealand Children\u2019s Haematology and Oncology Brain Tumour Group.
