The RCH Simulation Program, which has been running now for 2 years, facilitates a wide array of simulation-based education programs across the hospital &#8211; from \u2018First 3 Minute\u2019 training, to more complex immersive simulation to address deteriorating patients, teams working together, and communication skills.\u00a0 During this Grand Round, you will hear how the RCH Simulation Program has developed, hear about the RCH Inter-professional Simulation Fellowship Program, why simulation-based education works, and impact it has had on the Melbourne Children\u2019s Campus.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity to see how the RCH Simulation Team are facilitating education programs around the hospital, and how Simulation-based education may work for your department!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Jenni Sokol<\/strong>, FRACP, FCICM, MHPE, is the RCH Clinical Lead in Simulation and has been involved in Simulation-based Education for the past 14 years. She has led the RCH Simulation Program and Simulation Team since its commencement in June 2015. Jenni is a graduate of the Harvard Institute of Medical Simulation completing both \u2018Simulation as an Education tool\u2019 and their Advanced program, and has joined the Harvard Team in facilitating the Advanced Program in Debriefing.
