It must be read in conjunction with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rch.org.au\/clinicalguide\/guideline_index\/Emergency_airway_management\/\">Emergency airway management<\/a> CPG<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The Key points for the CPG are<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Case definitions for COVID-19 infection may differ in each State:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.nsw.gov.au\/Infectious\/diseases\/Pages\/2019-ncov-case-definition.aspx\">NSW, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.qld.gov.au\/clinical-practice\/guidelines-procedures\/novel-coronavirus-qld-clinicians\/resources-for-clinicians\">Qld,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhhs.vic.gov.au\/health-services-and-general-practitioners-coronavirus-disease-covid-19\">Vic<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Airway management may cause aerosolisation of virus; use airborne precautions (PPE including N95 mask) and management must occur in the highest level of isolation available.
