As the sun was rising early on the 20th March, so were many eager ChIPPERS who were preparing to complete the 11th annual Herald Sun/City Link Run for the Kids.
Every year it is great so see how many new faces are willing to get up early and try something they have never done before that may be challenging and physically demanding on their bodies along with many old faces who continue to contribute to the team.
The ChIPS team participated in the 5km fun run/walk that began on Alexander Avenue, travelled past the ANZAC Memorial before crossing the finish line Linlithgow Ave.
It was inspiring to see so many cross the finish line in ChIPS t-shirts and with a team of just under 20 participants walking and running for ChIPS, we surely got noticed by a few people while walking around the track.
With over 27,000 participants, the Run for the Kids was able to raise $1.7 million, which contributed to the $17, 445, 624. 38, which was raised during the Good Friday Appeal.
